SPECIAL OPENINGS
Only During Kyoto Winter Special 2009 - Hidden cultural heritage sites, normally not open to the public, will be open for viewing during the event. Twelve spots will open their cultural heritages to the public for 9 weeks, from January 10-March 18,2009. All viewings are for culturally valuable items. This is a wonderful opportunity for gaining a deeper understanding of Kyoto's culture.
*Some temples may be closed for Buddhist service without notice.
*On-site guidance is available in Japanese.
